Design Concept: “Hoodies for All Grown-Ups”

The brand name “LOOPWHEELER” draws inspiration from loopwheel machines, traditional knitting apparatuses that produce exceptionally soft and warm fleece, imbued with the finest qualities of cotton. Operating at a mere 24 rotations per minute, these machines are remarkably inefficient compared to the rapid pace of industrialized apparel manufacturing. Consequently, the loopwheel tradition has steadily declined, with only two factories remaining in Japan today. In 1999, LOOPWHEELER was established to preserve this unique fabric and the loopwheel tradition, evolving into an internationally acclaimed sweatshirt brand.





We proudly present this collaboration between LOOPWHEELER and the online store RUMORS. Based on the classic LOOPWHEELER high-neck hoodie (LW190), this new model features a refined silhouette that embodies the design concept of “Hoodie for all grown-ups.” A distinctive black name tag with charcoal grey lettering on the cuff signifies its exclusive nature.

Shortened by 40mm from the standard measurement, it achieves a slim silhouette that pairs effortlessly with any bottom. Stitches along both sides of the zipper accentuate the vertical line, creating an exceptionally streamlined look and enhancing the zipper’s smooth operation.

The Pursuit of Refined Details

While a kangaroo pocket is the standard for hoodies, we opted for a box pocket crafted from the same material for a more sophisticated appearance. A slanted pocket on the back, large enough to hold a plastic bottle, adds a playful yet practical touch. At LOOPWHEELER, the pursuit of refined details is paramount.





The minimalist design is subtly enhanced by double white lines printed on the left arm. Achieving this dyed vintage white required numerous color adjustments.
