A Hit Axe Collection Sparked the Brand's Unexpected Beginning
Opened last year, la kagū operates under the concept of "REVALUE," proposing lifestyle products for "food, clothing, shelter, and knowledge" from a unique perspective. The space features not only a shop but also a lecture area, stimulating intellectual curiosity for adults and earning support from those with a keen sense for fashion and culture.
This season, la kagū hosts a pop-up store for the New York-based outdoor brand BEST MADE. Peter Buchanan-Smith, the designer and founder, previously served as the creative director for Paper magazine. Encouraged by Andy Spade, the founder of Jack Spade, to create a limited run of 12 axes, their popularity led to the establishment of BEST MADE in 2009. The brand has since expanded to offer a wide range of items, from camping gear to apparel and toys. They meticulously select the most suitable factories for each product and conduct thorough development, releasing outdoor goods and tools with an unwavering commitment to quality.
At this pop-up store, you'll find the very axes that inspired the brand's inception, alongside convenient outdoor essentials like plates, cups, and stools, as well as playing cards and T-shirts and sweatshirts. We invite you to experience the exceptional quality firsthand.
