New Shop "Graphpaper" Self-Produced by Takayuki Minami Opens

A "Living Space" for Flexible Idea Expression
A unique spot that suddenly appears in a quiet residential area of Jingumae 5-chome, Shibuya Ward. Spanning the first floor and the second and third floors behind it, this is a new space with a minimal, linear approach, completely different from the image of the many shops Takayuki Minami has created until now.
The inspiration for Mr. Minami's concept was the exhibition "WHEN ATTITUDES BECOME FORM," curated by Harald Szeemann at Kunsthalle Bern in Switzerland in 1969.—When Attitudes Become Form—Taking cues from Szeemann's independent curator stance, unbound by regulations, in this exhibition, Mr. Minami created a "living space" for flexible idea expression, aiming not just to sell products but to transform them into artworks and "curate" them by considering how to highlight and present each piece.
Special Order Items for the Opening Also Worth Noticing
For this opening, special order items are being released in collaboration with "COMESANDGOES," designed by Kazuho Sato, and "MARKAWARE."
For COMESANDGOES, a masterpiece is presented, based on the popular long-brimmed hat from the brand's original line, crafted from the finest rabbit fur from the Czech Republic, known for its fine texture.
For MARKAWARE, a special order was placed for the "L-2B," their standard and popular flight jacket. The silhouette has been modified to incorporate the rounded form and dropped shoulders that have been a trend in blousons for the past few years. Furthermore, the epaulets have been removed, elevating the design to a more minimal aesthetic.
