A Deepening Bond with France
On February 4th (Wednesday), a cocktail party for the "MAN" pop-up store, a Paris-based collective trade show, was held at "ÉDIFICE TOKYO" in Shibuya, Tokyo. Regarding MAN,we previously reported on its debut in Japan last July. The cocktail party was also held at ÉDIFICE at that time. This second event marks a further deepening of the relationship between MAN and ÉDIFICE.

Learning from France, Presenting to the World
The men's collective trade show "MAN" was launched in 2012 by directors Antoine Frouchon, Olivier Migda, and Romain Bernardy-James. It has already gained significant recognition in France and is beginning to attract the attention of fashion industry professionals in Japan, including buyers and press.
Approximately 60 brands participated in the previous landing in Japan. Despite being the first event, it garnered industry attention and was bustling with visitors. This time, it was held over three days from February 3rd (Tuesday) to 5th (Thursday). The content was even more substantial than before, with participation from around 80 brands, both international and domestic.
We had the opportunity to speak with the organizers at the after-party, held at ÉDIFICE as last year. Although the interview took place during the event, the feedback seemed very positive.
"I was deeply moved that the buyers who attended last time came again this year. I believe we have built an even stronger relationship with Japan's top buyers."
Antoine Frouchon, one of the organizers, responded with quiet conviction. Meanwhile, the relationship between ÉDIFICE, which also hosted the party, and MAN was indeed deepening further.
Le Dome Corporation, the parent company of ÉDIFICE, announced a new brand, "AILE," at MAN in Paris from January 23rd to 25th. How was this collection, with its keywords of "Japan," "Ocean," and "Unisex," received?
"Yes, I think 'AILE' made quite a strong impression. It received high praise not only from menswear buyers but also from womenswear buyers across various European countries."
Since its inception, ÉDIFICE has been a brand committed to French craftsmanship and retail philosophy. Deepening its relationship with MAN means not only incorporating the latest French trends but also gaining a powerful ally for transmitting Japanese fashion to France. Frouchon explains:
"The reason we are collaborating like this is because I felt ÉDIFICE's concept was similar to MAN's. I am also impressed by the taste in brand selection and the depth of knowledge of the staff."
We hope that MAN and ÉDIFICE will build an even stronger relationship and further invigorate French and Japanese fashion.
