A Unique Collection Focused on Lining

Levi’s® Red™ was launched in 1999 as a premium line collection within the Levi’s® brand. It reinterpreted and evolved the brand’s iconic 5-pocket jeans, seeking new styles and aesthetics. This experimental collection is comprised of exquisite items crafted with the utmost technical skill through complex manufacturing processes. The collection is released irregularly and is only available in select, special shops worldwide. It is also one of the most sought-after collector's items in recent Levi’s® history.


The 2014 “Lined RED” collection marks the first release since 2007. Inspired by the wool blanket linings found in denim goods from the early 1870s, this collection was created. The items, born from various experimental processes, strike a delicate balance between durability and refinement. While focusing on the lining, the playful details in comfort and construction, along with the distinctive silhouettes, showcase this as an innovative series that shapes the future of Levi’s®.^®

Each Finished Item Has a Unique Appearance

The loose silhouette patterns are based on Levi’s® early models from the 1870s and 1880s, when workers in the American West wore waist overalls.^®Many details, such as the scoop pockets and back pockets, are inherited from the “Duck & Denim” models released in 1873 and 1874.



The denim items feature linings of indigo-dyed cotton silk and lightweight cotton flannel batting. The copper rivets are the same size as those on the original 501®.^®The shank buttons are made of dark gunmetal coated with smoke-white resin. The oversized cotton back patch is inspired by past Levi’s® kids' sizes.^®Each indigo-dyed component is washed separately, and the resulting items are all unique.


While most items are unisex, the women's lineup, including the rainbow skirt and ladybird jacket, is also noteworthy. Furthermore, the only United Arrows stores in Asia scheduled to carry Levi’s® Red™ this season are:^®United Arrows Harajuku Main Store Men's Building, Sapporo, and Kumamoto.
