Polish Brand "UEG" Makes its Japan Debut
This season marks the Japan debut of UEG, a Polish brand that blends art and street style. Characterized by its impactful graphics, the brand utilizes Tyvek material made from recycled paper—lightweight, breathable, washable, and 100% recyclable—along with Italian fabrics.

Provocative Expressions of "Consumption" Through Graphic Design
UEG was launched in 2004 by graphic and fashion designer Michał Lojewski. The brand name, "UEG (USA E GETTA)," is Italian for "Use and Discard," hinting at the ephemerality of existence in contemporary society. The brand's core ideas are based on fundamental values such as unification, communication, and awareness.
Michal Lojewski
Born in Poland in 1974, Lojewski is a graphic and fashion designer. He spent his childhood in Tokyo and after returning to Poland, graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He completed his graduation project under the guidance of Mieczyslaw Wasilewski, a master of the "Polish Poster School." In 2004, he launched the product brand UEG.
The Spring/Summer 2014 Collection: UEG x FILIP PAGOWSKI "TO BEE OR NOT TO BE"
In 2013, UEG partnered with graphic designer Filip Pagowski, renowned for creating the logo for "PLAY Comme des Garçons," to launch the "UEG x FILIP PAGOWSKI" line.
The Spring/Summer 2014 collection, themed "TO BEE OR NOT TO BE," aims to raise awareness about the global crisis of declining bee populations, a critical issue threatening our food supply due to severe environmental imbalances.
The collection features shirts, outerwear, and bags crafted from Tyvek made from recycled paper and Italian fabrics, adorned with impactful graphics. Focusing on eco-friendliness, art, and sports, UEG's signature classic, comfortable, and functional style is noteworthy.
This season's collection is available from the end of January at "candy" (Shibuya, Tokyo), "ICON" (Jingumae, Tokyo), and "LOVELESS."
FILIP PAGOWSKI
Born in Warsaw, Poland, Pagowski is known for designing the logo for "PLAY Comme des Garçons." Based in New York for many years, he has created illustrations for publications such as "The New Yorker," "The New York Times," and "Le Monde."
