For men who carry the title of cyclist──"This season's SASSOh expresses 'a fun and stylish cycling life and an adult tweed run,'" says Creative Director Shuichi Yokoyama. Embrace a completely new style of menswear that offers cycling functionality while pursuing sophisticated styling.

――What is the theme/concept for the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection?

This season's theme is "a fusion of classic and contemporary." We propose coordinating jackets made from traditional Harris Tweed, representing the classic, with items made from contemporary functional materials.

――What is the key look (coordination) this season?

Inside a sharp Harris Tweed jacket, we've added functionality and a pop of color with a parka made from heat-retaining material. For the bottoms, we propose a new take on workwear with wool draw-string pants.

Focus on the "Raising Color KNIT" – Thin and Exceptionally Warm

――What are the key items and key colors?

The key items are basic tweed pieces. The key colors are orange and pink, used as accent colors to brighten up coordinates that tend to be dark.

――What "materials" did you focus on this season?

We selected all materials with a focus on functionality and feel. Among them, the "Raising Color KNIT" looks like a knit but is actually a cut-and-sew fabric, characterized by its thinness and exceptional warmth.

――What is the most rewarding aspect of being a designer?

Seeing what I want to wear take shape.
