The first campaign since Kim Jones was appointed Dior's Men's Artistic Director has now launched.
KAWS's signature "BFF" figure, a New York artist, appears in a suit style reminiscent of Christian Dior. The unique imagery, evoking the decorations that adorned the Summer Collection show venue, is striking.
This collection unfolds in bright tones, echoing the vivid pink. It features codes of haute couture woven into the details, a blend of tailoring and sportswear. Every element expresses a strong connection between art and fashion, heritage and boldness.
Iconic motifs cherished by Christian Dior, such as the "BEE," "Toile de Jouy," "Dior Oblique" canvas, and "Cannage" pattern, are reinterpreted by Kim Jones with a newfound freedom.
Accompanying this is the release of a campaign video. It further highlights the creative and communicative energy of the collection, along with the new masculinity Jones has brought to Dior, emphasizing a new romanticism.
Regarding this campaign, Jones commented, "With this advertising campaign, I wanted to reflect the esprit of the show and the beauty of Dior." The new vision of masculinity he proposes, and its allure, are captivating. It will be exciting to see what items emerge next.
