Spring/Summer Trunk Show by "Todd Snyder"
Designer Todd Snyder, who has achieved numerous successes in the American fashion scene in recent years. A trunk show for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, inspired by desert imagery and blending classic preppy style with military staples, will be held. The event will take place until Sunday, March 31st, at the Shinjuku store, which has been generating buzz with the new establishment of personal shopping service spaces on the 9th and 10th floors.BARNEYS NEW YORKat the Shinjuku store.

Todd Snyder to Visit on March 30th (Sat) and 31st (Sun)
This collection draws inspiration from the attire of a Sahara Desert mapmaker featured in the film "The English Patient," and the preppy icons established by the British Colonial Office. By mixing desert neutrals with faded reds, oranges, and aqua blues, Snyder expresses his signature style.
One of the highlights of this collection is the "delightful contradiction" in styling, such as pairing a cashmere-linen thermal long-sleeve t-shirt with Bedford corduroy pants, or layering a double-faced trench coat over a cotton tuxedo jacket, worn with a madras check shirt and off-white denim bottoms.
At this trunk show at BARNEYS NEW YORK Shinjuku, not only will the new collection be showcased, but Todd himself will be present to offer direct styling advice.
Furthermore, during the trunk show period, an advance pre-order event for the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection will also be held. Todd Snyder is undoubtedly a brand to watch right now. We hope you will fully enjoy a collection that perfectly embodies the modern gentleman—both relaxed and luxurious.

Todd Snyder
Born in Iowa, Snyder learned the fundamentals of garment making at tailor shops before honing his skills at Ralph Lauren. He later became the Head Designer for Men's at J.CREW, where he rapidly gained attention by innovating the brand's menswear, including introducing tailored clothing for the first time and collaborating with TIMEX, RED WING, and Alden.
In 2008, he opened "The Liquor Store," J.CREW's first men's store in New York's TriBeCa, as Creative Director, achieving great success. However, he left the company the same year to prepare for the launch of his own label.
His debut was at the Autumn/Winter 2011 NY Collection in February 2011. He also launched the T-shirt line "Speakeasy" from Spring/Summer 2011. The brand name is slang for a clandestine bar operating during Prohibition. Its appeal lies in the unique, souvenir-like playfulness, utilizing logos from actual shops in NY.
