Half a Century of Men's Trousers
The history of Industrie Confezioni Tessili, known by the name INCOTEX, dates back to 1951.
Carlo Compagno's small business in Venice, initially manufacturing uniforms, eventually specialized in trouser production. In the early 1980s, when Carlo's sons, Roberto and Marzio, took over, the company accelerated its growth and diversified its offerings.
Today, it is recognized both domestically and internationally as one of Italy's leading trouser brands, boasting an annual production of approximately 600,000 pairs (as of 2002).

'In Italy, INCOTEX is so well-known that people say 'when you think of trousers, you think of INCOTEX.' It's a brand renowned for its high quality and its meticulous approach to trouser making, backed by over half a century of history,' says Mr. Suzuki of Slowear Japan, a veteran staff member who has been selling INCOTEX for eight years.

The Keyword for the New Collection: 'Retro Modern'
When asked about the new trousers being released, he explained, 'To put it simply, the key feature is 'retro modern.' Some might associate INCOTEX with a somewhat conservative image, but as a brand that constantly proposes new ideas, we've incorporated modern, fashion-forward elements while maintaining the quintessential INCOTEX style.'

The new model, '1AT046'. Its low-rise, slim silhouette is exceptionally elegant.
Specifically, the surprisingly low rise (waist height) is a fresh departure for INCOTEX.
'While we don't recommend this for other INCOTEX models, for this new release, we suggest wearing them at the hip line.'
'In addition to our existing customers who love our basic slacks, these trousers will appeal to a younger demographic more attuned to fashion,' Mr. Suzuki confidently states.

The '1AT046' features a classic micro-check pattern, accented by a watch pocket.
The Secret to a Silhouette That Flatters the Lower Body
Despite being a heritage brand, INCOTEX is always pursuing innovation. However, this does not mean they have forgotten their commitment to trouser craftsmanship.
When asked about the key aspects of their dedication, Mr. Suzuki chuckled, 'There are so many, it's hard to know where to begin,' and proceeded to lay a pair of trousers on his desk.

This is the '1AT031', also with a low rise. It contains 30% mohair, making it resistant to wrinkles.
'While a slim silhouette is one of INCOTEX's appeals, we tailor them to fit the Japanese physique for a more flattering look. Compared to Westerners, Japanese people have flatter hips, so wearing European-standard trousers can result in a baggy, unflattering fit. Therefore, we negotiated with our Italian headquarters to create an arrangement specifically for Japan, refining the design for a more beautiful silhouette.'
Innovations for Comfort and Ease of Movement
Next, he turned the trousers inside out.
'It is INCOTEX's policy to pursue beauty even in the unseen parts, using luxurious, skin-friendly materials.'

'The waistband area is double-layered. When a person moves, the trousers rub against the body; this layer buffers that friction, allowing for greater ease of movement and comfort. Additionally, the crotch area is prone to wear and tear from friction, so we reinforce it with a patch of fabric called 'chic'.'

'Furthermore, there's a slit at the back called a 'back slit.' When you sit down, this slit opens up, preventing the trousers from pressing uncomfortably against your waist. We also pay attention to the care label tag...'
It's truly a case of 'too many to list.' The dedication and passion poured into each pair of trousers, embodying such meticulous craftsmanship, is precisely why this brand has been loved for over half a century.

New Models Available for Pre-order at 'rumors'

The new models available for pre-order are three types: '1AT031', '1AT046', and '1JG016'. The '1AT031' features a beautiful, slim silhouette with a low rise and two pleats; it can be dressed up or paired with sneakers for a different look.
The '1AT046' also has a shallow rise and a slim form with one pleat. Its classic micro-check pattern is accented by a watch pocket.
And the '1JG016' is INCOTEX's signature golf pant. Not only is it made with stretch material for ease of movement, but it also features convenient pockets on both sides for storing small items needed during play.
