The Stakes: On the Field and at the Casino

The countdown to the FIFA World Cup is drawing near.
As support for SAMURAI BLUE intensifies, dunhill hosted an event centered on the theme of "Dressing for Victory." On May 27th, the same day as the Kirin Challenge Cup 2014 match between SAMURAI BLUE and Cyprus, guests clad in their "victory attire" – the dress code for the evening – arrived one after another at the venue, "RUBY JACK’S Steakhouse & Bar."

As the whistle blew for the match to begin, a one-night-only dunhill casino opened in Roppongi, Tokyo. Much like the eleven players competing on the field, guests took on the challenge of the casino in their own "victory attire."



This year marks the 15th anniversary of dunhill designing the official Japan National Team suit. As a testament to this deep-rooted trust, former Japan National Team players, including Masahiro Fukuda and Masayoe Maezono, attended the event. Dressed in the same "victory attire" as the 2014 national team, they enjoyed the thrilling competition unfolding before them.



An evening where multiple contests unfolded within an atmosphere reminiscent of a British gentleman's club. The roar of the guests, erupting with each goal, reflected the high expectations for SAMURAI BLUE. The FIFA World Cup Brazil begins on Friday, June 13th, Japan time.
