METROCS, which deals in iconic furniture and interior design products, will host the "Collection Market" starting May 16 (Saturday). Over 300 Books Available
The books featured at the "Collection Market" include back issues from the 1950s onwards of architectural magazine "domus," founded in 1928 by architect Gio Ponti, and Danish interior magazine "mobilia." The lineup also boasts valuable resources from the mid-century era, such as monographs of designers active during that period.
Additionally, the "Old Kiriko" collection of glassware from the 1955-1964 period has been expanded with newly acquired items for this, the third iteration of the event.
The architectural magazine "domus," still published today, is a globally renowned publication in the fields of architecture and design, continuing to exert a significant influence.
The interior and product design magazine "mobilia" features a wide array of furniture and art pieces by designers, particularly from Scandinavia. It is highly regarded for its exquisite design, evident in its binding, layout, and even advertisements, embodying a distinct Nordic aesthetic.
A Coveted Collection of Old Kiriko Glassware Also Featured
Edo Kiriko, an exquisite glass craft from the Edo period, represents a precious traditional Japanese artisanal technique that still exists today. METROCS owns a collection of Kiriko glassware from the early Showa to the 1960s. New items, focusing on the large plates and bowls popular at last year's "Craft Fair KIRICO*KILICO / Old Kiriko," have been added.
