Proposing a Richer Way of Life
The "Bang & Olufsen Nihonbashi" store spans approximately 120 square meters, making it the largest specialty store space in Japan. In line with the concept of Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C., which promotes a "beautiful lifestyle," the store offers a proposal for "a richer way of life" within a space that evokes a Nordic lifestyle.
Inside the store, a counter running from the entrance to the rear space divides the area into two main zones.
The open space near the store entrance offers a wide selection of wireless speakers for enjoying music via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speakers, and the latest earphones and headphones. It's a pleasure to be able to try out the actual sound and feel of the products.
In the space beyond the wall, the focus is on the flagship speaker "BeoLab 90" with an output of 8200W per unit, the uniquely designed active speaker "Beo lab 50," and the "Beo Vision Eclipse" television featuring 4K HDR OLED technology and a world-class sound system, delivering an unparalleled audio experience.
The spatial design was handled by "Gowari Ichibu" (五割一分), an architectural and graphic design firm based in Tokyo and Toyama. The interior has been finished into a comfortable space where Nordic aesthetics and color palettes harmonize with Bang & Olufsen's uncompromisingly minimal and architectural design.
Dedicated staff will thoroughly consult with guests about their lifestyle and needs. They will propose a life enriched with music and visuals tailored to each individual, including optimal installation plans for various devices.
If you wish to create the ultimate audio environment at home or enjoy high-quality sound even when you're out, this is a destination worth visiting.
Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 Now Feature Google Assistant
Bang & Olufsen's "Beosound 1" and "Beosound 2" speakers, known for their high sound quality and distinctive conical design, now have models equipped with Google Assistant for voice control.

Bang & Olufsen's sound engineers developed advanced acoustic echo cancellation technology, embedding five microphones within the aluminum body. This allows for constant voice analysis, distinguishing between the speaker's own sound and the user's commands.
Additionally, four favorite buttons are located on the top of the speaker. Multiple functions can be assigned to each button, allowing users to customize commands such as streaming radio stations or music playlists, or requesting weather forecasts and calendar updates to a single button.
Furthermore, with the addition of Google Assistant's advanced smart speaker capabilities, users can now control various smart home devices beyond just the speaker.
The release date is September 2018. The actual units are scheduled to be displayed at "Bang & Olufsen Nihonbashi."
