Beautiful Curves Resonate Like a Musical Tone

Arflex Japan has commissioned young designer Hironao Tsuboi for the development of its new design. He co-founded the design brand "100%" and established Hironao Tsuboi Design in 2007, handling a wide range of product designs from daily necessities to home appliances and furniture.

The new "OMEGA" was created through meticulous communication down to the finest details with Arflex's development team and skilled factory technicians. The flowing line from the front legs to the back is not only a sculptural elegance but also precisely calculated for back support when seated and armrest positioning, achieving both beauty and comfortable seating. The beautiful curve is created through three-dimensional molding, where wood is first split to a thickness of 4 millimeters and then layered without shifting the grain. The resulting form, combined with its exquisite finish, presents a delicate and flawless beauty from any angle.

The lineup includes four types: painted oak, painted oak in dark oak color, painted black walnut, and painted black walnut in natural color.

Tsuboi aimed to create a lustrous, high-quality chair that would become Arflex's new icon. With its flowing lines reminiscent of a beautiful musical tone, OMEGA undoubtedly exudes a presence befitting that aspiration.
