The Premium Line 'MAXALTO' by Antonio Citterio

Established in 1975, MAXALTO presents a new worldview as one of B&B Italia's core brands. It has been featured in corner displays at B&B Italia stores worldwide, with its first flagship store opening in Paris in 2001.

The collections, designed and curated by Antonio Citterio, achieve a contemporary classic aesthetic by blending modern sensibilities with classical themes. The space befitting these collections is a modern interpretation of early 20th-century French architectural styles. Within this space, scenes for living, dining, and sleeping areas are presented, comprising the 'Apta,' 'Simplice,' and 'AC' collections.

The 'Apta' collection is strongly influenced by the traditions of interior decoration from the 1920s. It is characterized by sofas that hold a significant position within the collection, dark-toned solid wood, robust and rustic forms, and details in steel, primarily seen in tables.

From its inception, the 'Simplice' collection has been defined by its strictly simple lines, devoid of any excess. Its sofas and chairs, consoles, writing desks, and bookshelves, designed for comfort, elevate the sense of luxury and sophistication within an interior.

The 'AC' collection offers a refined finish and streamlined design, creating a warm yet sharp contemporary appeal. It possesses a captivating charm within its rigorous atmosphere. Various storage units at high, medium, and low heights, tables, bookshelves that can be partially enclosed with sliding doors, and canopy beds express the collection's spirit of "eternal modernity."
