Creating a Welcoming Space You'll Never Want to Leave
Opened on April 24th, Cassina ixc. Nagoya unfolds a luxurious, relaxed space reminiscent of a hotel, situated one floor above the entrance. The chic, serene single floor, keyed in beige and gray, features unique interior items throughout, crafting a comfortable ambiance that envelops you in quality and a sense of exclusivity.
As an opening special, the store is offering early sales of Cassina's best-selling "Maralunga" sofa and "P22" lounge chair, upholstered in new textiles from the "KVADRAT/RAF SIMONS" collection. This collection was first unveiled in Tokyo on March 25th, ahead of its global release.
New Collection Items Debut in Japan
The Kvadrat/Raf Simons collection features high-fashion interior textiles born from a collaboration between Kvadrat, Denmark's premier textile brand, and fashion designer Raf Simons. The "Maralunga" sofa and "P22" lounge chair were chosen for their ability to showcase the beauty of these fabrics.
The "Maralunga" sofa, a bestseller known for its enveloping comfort and versatile high-back/low-back design, received a new specification for its 40th anniversary last year at Milan Salone. This updated version, with elegant stitching along the edges, emphasizes its silhouette, lending it a more modern and youthful appeal.
The "P22" lounge chair, with its cocoon-like form, draws inspiration from the classic bergère armchair while incorporating a modern aesthetic. It evokes a sense of warmth and newness simultaneously.
A Design That Bestows Dignity Upon the Tabletop
Furthermore, Cassina ixc. Nagoya is exclusively exhibiting Charlotte Perriand's "MEXIQUE" table (low table) nationwide, ahead of its official release. Designed in 1952 for the student dormitory of the Maison du Mexique at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, its rounded triangular shape was conceived to maximize mobility within the limited space of a dorm room.
The thick, durable tabletop exudes natural beauty and warmth. Its sides are designed to fit the hand's shape and size, and the legs taper elegantly. Perriand herself commented that the design "gives dignity to the tabletop, rather than just supporting it."
The Nagoya store also offers "EXCLUSIVE LEATHER," available only at directly managed stores. This full-grain leather, treated only with aniline dyes and without surface finishing, boasts a warm, natural texture and vibrant, translucent colors that are a must-see.
Proposing a Total Concept for "Sophisticated and Dreamlike Living Spaces"
The Nagoya store also provides comprehensive interior design concierge services for the Tokai region. Beyond furniture, they offer consultations on interior design encompassing lighting, rugs, curtains, art, and lifestyle goods, as well as seamless proposals for entire spaces, including furniture.
