Celebrating 60 Years of Arne Jacobsen's Iconic Seven Chair


Pop-Up Store & Café Opens at Daikanyama T-SITE



This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Seven Chair, a masterpiece designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and a celebrated work of mid-century design. To commemorate this milestone, FRITZ HANSEN is opening a pop-up store and café on Saturday, February 7th.

A Special Exhibition Tracing the Seven Chair's 60-Year Journey

Arne Jacobsen, often hailed as a pioneer of Scandinavian minimalist design, created the stackable Seven Chair, which now celebrates its 60th anniversary. To honor this occasion, a pop-up store and café will open at Daikanyama T-SITE GARDEN GALLERY from Saturday, February 7th to Sunday, February 15th, running for nine days.



During the event, visitors can enjoy a relaxing café space alongside an exhibition area showcasing the history of the Seven Chair. Additionally, a special 60th-anniversary edition of the Seven Chair will be available, along with commemorative merchandise and small items designed by Arne Jacobsen.



We invite you to experience the comfort and depth of this design icon, a testament to craftsmanship, while seated in its simple yet modern form.





The Seven Chair's 60th Anniversary Editions: A Concept of "Contrasting Charms"



Crafted from the finest materials by skilled artisans, the Seven Chair is not only Fritz Hansen's bestseller but also an icon in furniture history. To celebrate its 60th anniversary, two new variations have been introduced.




Feminine Edition

Masculine Edition



One model features a pale pink shell with 24K gold-plated legs, exuding femininity, while the other combines a dark blue shell with glossy brown-lacquered legs for a masculine appeal. These two chairs, distinct in material and color, possess a captivating charm that enhances each other when placed side-by-side. Their exquisite contrast envelops any space in a calm, sophisticated ambiance.



Individually, each chair is a beautiful statement piece, elevating the overall refined atmosphere of a room with its unique radiance.



These two special editions will be available for a limited time until December.
