IDC Otsuka Furniture Ginza Main Store Hosts "Nordic Fair"
The limited-time Nordic Fair, "LOVE Nordic," offers a selection of vintage Nordic furniture by masters such as Wegner, Finn Juhl, and Nanna Ditzel, alongside popular Nordic lighting from Louis Poulsen, fabrics, and interior accessories. It is being held on the first floor of the IDC Otsuka Furniture Ginza Main Store until Sunday, May 11th.

Rare Models Specially Exhibited and Sold for a Limited Time
The IDC Otsuka Furniture Ginza Main Store, which underwent a renewal for its 3rd anniversary last October, presents a different interior theme each month on the first floor in its "GINZA the stage" space.
Amidst the captivating space composed of Nordic furniture and interiors, the "ODA Chair," designed by Nanna & Jorgen Ditzel, stands out with its unique design.
Nanna Ditzel graduated from the School of Arts and Crafts in 1946 and established her studio with her husband, Jorgen Ditzel, in the same year. Her work includes jewelry design for Georg Jensen, as well as furniture and textile design.
The "ODA Chair" was introduced in 1956. Its armrests, positioned within the large backrest, were conveniently placed for mothers to nurse their infants, earning it the name "Nursing Chair."
The original blueprints for this chair were lost, but it has now been recreated based on a vintage chair preserved in the Nanna Ditzel design studio. During the recreation process, the extensive materials from Professor Noritsugu Oda, a close friend and supporter of Nanna Ditzel, proved invaluable. In his honor, Nanna Ditzel's daughter named it the "ODA chair."
