Giorgio Armani's Contemplation of Nature: "Eternity, Infinity, Power"
The "ARMANI / CASA NEW COLLECTION 2013-2014" presented this time utilizes unique materials that place minimal burden on the ecosystem, such as striped banana tree wood collected after harvesting, and the grain of Japanese ash wood, reminiscent of the dry landscape gardens of Zen Buddhism, to protect the global environment.
The round "Giove" table, unveiled at "Armani / Teatro" on Via Borgognone, features a surface of exquisite Mexican onyx in warm orange tones. The simple and lightweight "Great" table, made of vintage brown oak, has an exceptionally thin tabletop measuring just one centimeter.
The "Gilbert" table, with a top framed in Canalet walnut and constructed from striped banana tree wood, is available in an orange lacquer finish or with a Canalet walnut frame. Other striking pieces include the "Galassia" nest of tables, crafted from carbonized coconut shells, which transform exceptional craftsmanship into luxurious designs while prioritizing environmental consciousness.
The collection also features fabrics from "Armani / Casa Exclusive Textiles by Rubelli," a project pursuing beauty in furniture that has been ongoing since 2009 in collaboration with Rubelli, a historic Venetian fabric manufacturer.
