The Swiss furniture collection "Zoom by Mobimex," known for its customizability and the warm, functional design of its authentic solid wood, makes its debut in Japan. Knoll Japan officially began handling the brand on April 1st.

Focusing on Desks and Dining Tables

Zoom by Mobimex was established in Switzerland in 1982. The company uses wood from trees aged 120 to 200 years, sourced from European certified forests. The lumber is then naturally air-dried outdoors for approximately five years. Following this, skilled artisans, deeply knowledgeable about wood, meticulously process each piece through a lengthy production cycle.

Leveraging the appeal of authentic solid wood, the collection features functional, simple designs that exude both luxury and warmth. It is primarily composed of four models: "TIX," "X2," "IXO," and "NEXT." The range includes a contract line (desks and cabinets for executive offices and conference rooms) and a residential line (dining tables, credenzas, and cabinets).

All models can be custom-ordered, even for a single piece, and bespoke modifications are also accommodated. By meticulously catering to diverse requests for offices and residences, and delivering high-caliber, quality designs, the brand has earned international trust and acclaim.

The "TIX" collection, inspired by the concept of "nature and architecture," blends the robustness of solid wood with the aesthetic contrast of wood and metal, alongside functional integration. The "X2" is distinguished by its unique joinery, creating a fluid connection between wood and metal hardware, with a wide selection of shapes and sizes available for tabletops and frames.

The "IXO" features a sophisticated, luxurious design with elegant, vertically aligned chrome-polished bases, while the "NEXT" offers a refined, traditional aesthetic with a smooth, tactile finish.

Four types of surface finishes are available: lacquer, oil, soap, and natural. The company proposes finishes tailored to specific requests, considering factors such as the processing method, time involved, and the desired tactile and visual effects.

All designs are by Dante Bonuccelli, originally from Argentina. His projects have garnered numerous international awards, establishing him as a globally recognized designer.
