A Reverence for Light, Reimagined for Today.
An Exhibition Celebrating "HOMMAGE TO FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT™"
Frank Lloyd Wright, who laid the foundations of modern architecture alongside Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe, would have celebrated his 150th birthday last year. To commemorate the release of a special edition reinterpreting his iconic "TALIESIN®2" lamp, the exhibition "HOMMAGE TO FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT™" is being held.

Featuring Toyo Ito (Architect), Akira Minagawa (Designer), and Kohei Nawa (Sculptor)
Under the full cooperation of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in the United States, lighting manufacturer YAMAGIWA has meticulously examined existing blueprints and conducted on-site surveys. Through rigorous prototyping and testing, they are dedicated to reviving and producing Wright's masterpieces for the contemporary era.
"TALIESIN®2" is one such endeavor. Its prototype is a pendant lamp designed by Wright in 1933 for the renovation of a gymnasium into a theater. The fixture, centered around a square box and a light-blocking shade, generates soft, indirect light by reflecting illumination upwards, gently gracing the space.
Now, three globally acclaimed creatives—architect Toyo Ito, designer Akira Minagawa, and sculptor Kohei Nawa—have each interpreted "TALIESIN®2" in their own unique way, releasing these special limited editions on November 21st. To celebrate this, the exhibition "HOMMAGE TO FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT™" will be held at T-ART HALL within the Warehouse TERRADA.
While using "TALIESIN®2" as their starting point, how did these three creators interpret Wright's architectural philosophy, concepts, and the diverse motifs employed in his buildings, transforming them into sculptural beauty? We invite you to discover the answers at the venue.
