Designing Structure

Designer Tokujin Yoshioka has previously created innovative products that are designed from their very structure, such as the honeycomb-structured paper chair "Honey-pop," the plant-fiber-structured chair "PANE chair," and the crystal-structured chair "VENUS – Natural crystal chair."

Unveiled at Milan Salone 2018, Yoshioka's new idea is the "MATRIX chair." Composed of thin rod-shaped resin, it achieves a two-layered, three-dimensional matrix structure through injection molding.

The result is an innovative chair, true to Yoshioka's style of designing structure itself.

Born from the fusion of Yoshioka's experimental creations and Kartell's advanced technology, the "MATRIX chair" is a product that expands the future possibilities of resin.
