Lighting, Chairs, and Home Accessories

The first item to note at the pop-up shop on the 5th floor living floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building is the "MELT" lighting, a distorted sphere that will be fully launched in Japan from November. This latest work was announced at Milan Salone in April and unveiled at the opening of the TOM DIXON SHOP in Japan in July.

Created in collaboration with the Swedish design unit "FRONT," Melt is a dramatic lighting piece where light bounces and reflects off its undulating surface, evoking molten glass at high temperatures.
It is semi-transparent when lit and reveals a mirrored finish when turned off.

The "BREW" collection for enjoying coffee time, also launching in November, is an accessory collection that was presented at "Maison & Objet" in Paris last month.

Brew is a tribute to the captivating ritual of the modern coffee ceremony. With a complete set of caddy, scoop, cafetière, stovetop, milk pan, espresso cup, biscuit tin, and tray, it perfectly orchestrates every step of the coffee ritual, from the plunge of the plunger to the moment of dipping a biscuit into the brewed coffee.

The new "WINGBACK" chair was unveiled at Milan Salone. This chair reinterprets the traditional British wingback chair, popular around the 17th century, and updates it for 21st-century design. Its full, luxurious form is given a twist and playfulness, creating a sophisticated silhouette. It is a piece that fuses Tom Dixon's signature craftsmanship with industrial technology, offering elegance, sculptural form, and functionality.

At the "Tom Dixon Talk Show" on November 3rd (Tuesday/Holiday), he will share a wealth of content, including his personal history and design approach, with a touch of British humor.
