Six Themed Booths Appear Within the Aoyama Flagship Store

The "EXPO 2015 NEW MODEL" exhibition features six themed booths within the store, including coordination displays of Cassina's new items, "Teatro Cassina" for screening the documentary on the 50th anniversary of Le Corbusier's death, and a "Ristorante" area styled with chairs designed by Kanji Ueki. Visitors can enjoy exploring each booth using an in-store map.

The special screening booth will show the documentary "Le Corbusier: A Story of Encounters That Changed the History of Design," presented at Milan Salone this past April, with Japanese subtitles (approximately 50 minutes, shown repeatedly).

New Items Highlighting Designers' Unique Personalities

The "Réaction Poétique" collection, a new series of objects created by designer Jaime Hayon in collaboration with Cassina, is inspired by the organic forms of Le Corbusier's architecture and the artworks of Esprit Nouveau. It comprises four centerpiece pieces, one type of tray shaped like coffee beans, and two small low tables (all in black stained ash with a low-gloss finish).

Named after Jaime Hayon's son, who was born during its development, "VICO" draws from Cassina's archives of the 1950s and 1960s. While preserving his signature rounded, flowing lines, the design has been filtered through Cassina's aesthetic. Despite its sleek, slim profile, the sinking comfort of the cushions envelops the body, providing exceptional comfort. Its smoothness is striking from every angle.

The "298 (Unicredit Pavilion Project)" chair, designed by Michele De Lucchi, is a director's chair conceived for the multipurpose hall of the "Unicredit" pavilion, which opened this summer in Milan's Porta Nuova district. Embracing the natural materials used in the pavilion's exterior, this beautifully crafted chair offers a natural warmth while incorporating functionality suitable for diverse uses.
