Considering "Future Lifestyles, Future Furniture"

The design and construction company TANK (http://tank-tokyo.jp/), collaborating with KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD this time, began its activities in July 2007.

They handle the design and construction of stores, offices, and residences, as well as interior design and furniture design and production. While valuing the consideration of "how things should be made," they work closely with sites, production factories, and craftspeople, seamlessly undertaking construction for their own design-build projects and those of architectural design firms.

For the exhibition "KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD Exhibition in collaboration with TANK," TANK has designed and produced devices that realistically evoke the scale of living spaces, inspired by "models," within a box-like space representing a multi-purpose area that demands various forms of utilization.

Within these devices, visitors can enjoy experiencing KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD furniture while freely imagining spaces such as homes, shops, and offices.

The exhibition also marks the first appearance in Japan of designer Christian Haas's "SCOUT" series and BIG-GAME's "CASTOR" series sofas for KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD.

The "SCOUT" series is a groundbreaking collection of chairs and tables that re-examines existing concepts from scratch, notable for its harmony between functionality and refined expression.
