Lifestyle Store "SLOW HOUSE Futako-Tamagawa" Opens
Lifestyle store "SLOW HOUSE Futako-Tamagawa," offering items created with a theme of "love for the earth, society, and family"—including handcrafted furniture and household goods, Scandinavian vintage furniture meticulously restored by repair artisans, food items, art, and greenery—has opened on the second floor of Marronnier Court, an annex of Takashimaya in Futako-Tamagawa, Tokyo.

Shop Concept: Made with LOVE
The third Slow House store, following the flagship shop opened along the canal in Tennozu, Tokyo, in Spring 2014, and the store in Umeda, Osaka, Slow House Futako-Tamagawa handles furniture, household goods, art, greenery, food items, and body care products, primarily with a Scandinavian aesthetic, centered around the theme of "mindful living"—selecting truly comfortable items for daily life and cherishing them for a long time.
It also features a variety of items, such as apparel and accessories from "Ouur," created under the direction of Nathan Williams, editor-in-chief of the American lifestyle magazine "KINFOLK."
Futako-Tamagawa, in particular, showcases many items making their debut in Japan, such as handmade bags by the new movement "This is Paper" from Warsaw, Poland, and wooden products by "LOSTINE" based in Philadelphia, USA, all of which captivate with their beautiful presence. The store promotes itself as a lifestyle store with the concept of "Made with LOVE."
Proposing an Ethical Lifestyle
Inside, alongside a rich selection of furniture and miscellaneous goods, there is a corner for "Ouur" featuring its autumn and winter collections. Furthermore, the spacious store offers a corner with abundant greenery and a diverse range of gardening items, creating a comfortable atmosphere. It's delightful to be able to coordinate green spaces with an artistic sensibility.
In addition to Slow House Futako-Tamagawa on the second floor, produced by Actus, the Marronnier Court expansion and renovation also welcomes the first Japanese location of the Los Angeles-based restaurant and grocery store "FARMSHOP" on the first floor. Moreover, the fifth domestic store of "bills," known for the world's best breakfast, opens on the third floor. Experience the newest in living, dining, and clothing in Futako-Tamagawa, the most talked-about area in West Tokyo.
