"r" began with respect for the plants that have taken eons to form their shapes, drawing inspiration from the veins of large leaves, the supple forms of branch tips, and the deep, wide structures of roots. Under the leadership of Creative Director Shigehisa Hattori (Representative of graf), furniture featuring organic forms has been born.

The legs of the low tables and stools, and the coat stand, strongly evoke the structure of trees, reminiscent of growing branches, and also appear as a series of meticulously calculated lines. Organic, plant-like lines come alive within the linear design.

Half a Century of Manufacturing Expertise Realized

"r" is produced by Legnatec, a furniture manufacturer in Morotomi-cho, Saga City. This manufacturer continuously develops original items that match users' living environments with simple designs and high-quality materials. They handle everything from material selection to processing and finishing in their own factory, with a history dating back to their founding in 1964 attesting to their solid skills and know-how.
