Concept: A Hangout Space for Friends

The first furniture collection from ALEXANDER WANG merges Poltrona Frau's luxurious, high-quality craftsmanship with ALEXANDER WANG's signature refined sense of relaxed style. The result is a collection of Made in Italy furniture that embodies the essence of ALEXANDER WANG.

The collection comprises three pieces: the "Bean sofa," an armchair inspired by beanbags, available in two material variations; and the "Trunk Bar," a cabinet that can also serve as a side table. Conceived with the idea of a "hangout space for friends," it reflects ALEXANDER WANG's approach to design, which seeks to coexist casual comfort with sophisticated elegance.

Designer Alexander Wang comments, "I've always loved the vibe of young people lounging around in beanbags in underground hangouts, and it's often been an idea I've incorporated. This time, I wanted to challenge myself to reinterpret that youthful spirit with luxurious materials and quality.
Poltrona Frau is a heritage brand with a top-tier level of skill. Collaborating with them allowed me to create something I'm truly excited about."

The Lounge Chair is Available in Leather and Shearling

The "Bean sofa" lounge chair, featuring a slouchy shape that reinterprets the beanbag, is combined with a solid, monolithic structure. It uses high-quality black upholstery on a polished bronze-plated steel base. Reflecting the shared commitment of both brands to materials and details, the chair's cover is available in two variations of Poltrona Frau's finest Pelle Frau® Soul: matte black leather and shearling.

The meticulously selected full-grain leather, chosen only from the most beautiful parts of the material and tanned with great care, is characterized by its velvety softness and rich color palette.

The Trunk Bar: A Mini-Bar Solution

The "Trunk Bar" cabinet is crafted from chic matte black sharkskin, featuring polished steel edging, custom hinges, and small steel wheels for easy mobility.

The interior is lined with refined steel edging and black suede, equipped with shelves designed to hold various sizes of glasses, bottles, and cocktail accessories, making it ideal for use as a bar. When closed, it functions as a side table, and when opened, it reveals its mini-bar function.
