The animated series "The Simpsons," broadcast in over 70 countries worldwide, is a comedy depicting the bizarre everyday lives of the Simpson family living in the fictional town of Springfield. While MEDICOM TOY has previously released characters from the series as BE@RBRICKs, they are now finally being brought to life in 3D with VCDs. The first release features Maggie, the youngest daughter of the Simpson family.

"The Simpsons," which began airing on America's FOX television on December 17, 1989, and has since produced 32 seasons and 703 episodes, is a hugely popular series that has had a significant impact on American pop culture. It uses the domestic circumstances of an American middle-class family as its subject, weaving in sharp satire and black humor about politics and society.

The series depicts the grand chaos that unfolds each episode with the Simpson family: father Homer, mother Marge, the rambunctious 10-year-old Bart, the precocious 8-year-old eldest daughter Lisa, and the pacifier-sucking youngest daughter Maggie. Creator Matt Groening named the characters after his own family members; Homer and Marge are named after his parents, while Lisa and Maggie are named after his sisters.

Margaret "Maggie" Simpson, appearing now in VCD form, is an infant who cannot yet speak, but her bold actions and rich sensitivity shine through. Her solo episodes, such as "Maggie's First Day at Daycare," which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2013, have also been highly acclaimed.

This Maggie has been brought to life in a life-size figure, standing approximately 668mm tall. Her distinctive hairstyle, round eyes, and trademark ribbon and pacifier are all faithfully recreated as seen in the show. This is a figure that one will want to embrace as if they've become a member of the Simpson family.
