Founded on the motto, "A coffee shop that makes you happy with just one cup," Sarutahiko Coffee opened its doors on June 8, 2011, in Ebisu, Tokyo. Despite its modest 8.7-tsubo (approx. 28.7 sqm) floor space, the shop quickly became a sensation, with people lining up daily for its coffee, pioneering the third-wave coffee movement.

The owner, Asano Otsuka, gained national recognition when he supervised canned coffee for a major beverage manufacturer in 2014. That same year, in December, he opened the Ebisu Main Store Annex (a specialty bean shop), followed by the second branch, "Atelier Senkawa," in February 2015. Since then, the company has expanded its store network, primarily within Tokyo, and opened its first overseas location in Taipei in September 2018. Revered as a specialty coffee shop that meticulously sources high-quality beans from around the world and prides itself on every step from roasting to brewing, the establishment is now celebrating its 10th anniversary with its first-ever collaboration with BE@RBRICK.

The body, a faint milky white with a hint of blue, is accented by a brown rim, evoking a cup of coffee poured into a mug. The familiar octagonal Sarutahiko Coffee logo adorns the abdomen.
