New Furniture Proposing an "Ideal Life" from Arflex
The theme for the 2014 new product lineup is "My Contemporary Life"―A new collection of products designed to help people create their own style, seeking the essential and choosing based on their own values. Arflex unveiled a total of 25 items, including 8 new products such as sofas and chairs from the Arflex brand, and 8 items centered around solid wood tables and storage from the Riva 1920 brand.

The Sofa "MAGENTA," Symbolizing the Theme
The sofa "MAGENTA" (pictured above, center) plays a crucial role in embodying the theme "My Contemporary Life." Its contrast between a plush seat and slender legs creates a modern impression. Designed by Sergio Brioscchi, who is active in Milan, this sofa can be arranged as a facing sofa or in an L-shape. It is available in a high type for easy sitting and standing, and a low type for a more relaxed feel.
A Modern Wingback Style

A striking "wingback style" personal sofa (pictured left, left) designed by C.O.D. While incorporating the classic elements of a wingback sofa, its overall presence is modern. The sofa's upholstery can be selected in different types for the interior and exterior, allowing for coordinated designs along with the piping color that outlines the edges.

This chair is by Konstantin Grcic, a German designer gaining attention in the global design scene. It marks his first collaboration with a Japanese furniture manufacturer and his first exploration of furniture made entirely of wood. When placed together, the chairs create a geometric presence of lines and planes, offering a beauty akin to a pattern, filled with Grcic's intellect and humor.

This single-leg round table harmonizes the substantial presence of its cast iron base with the bold yet gentle texture of solid wood.
