DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2012 | Makoto Orisaki to Design the Main Venue!
DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2012
This year's main venue design will be helmed by...
Makoto Orizaki x Tama Art University Product Design Lab
The main venue for DesignTide Tokyo, a stage where designers' presentations converge. The venue design itself, intended to be viewed as a work of art, garners attention each year. This year, the task of designing the venue has been entrusted to inter-design artist Makoto Orizaki.

Orizaki's contemplation has already begun in earnest.
For DesignTide Tokyo 2012, the main venue design embarks on a new challenge, partnering with an educational institution.
Makoto Orizaki, who, through his cross-disciplinary activities, believes in the power of design from a unique perspective, pursues a sincere ambition to contribute to society through the contemplation, proposal, and practice of its universal value.
What contemplations, proposals, and practices will Orizaki and the Tama Art University Product Design Lab bring to the stage of DesignTide Tokyo? This promises to be an experimental and challenging endeavor, marking a new chapter for DesignTide Tokyo.
