Triumph Scrambler 1200 Gets a 2021 Model Update
Triumph has announced the 2021 models of its crossover bikes, the Scrambler 1200 XC and Scrambler 1200 XE. Simultaneously, a limited edition Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition, limited to 1,000 units worldwide, will also be released, with all models launching in June 2021.

Limited Edition Features Iconic Actor Steve McQueen
Born in 2018, the Scrambler 1200 quickly became an icon for Triumph. The 2021 model Scrambler 1200XE/XC features an updated engine. A key highlight is the reduction in displacement and compliance with Euro 5 standards.
Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC
This latest power unit is a 1200cc parallel-twin, 8-valve engine producing 90ps and 110Nm of torque. The unique Scrambler sound from this unit is released through a twin exhaust system updated for Euro 5 compliance, which also adds the benefit of improved heat dissipation.
The long-travel suspension enhances off-road capability, with 250mm of wheel travel at both the front and rear designed to tackle harsh terrain while ensuring a comfortable ride on-road. Braking is handled by high-performance Brembo calipers.

Full-color TFT display
The wheels are equipped with Ayres spoke wheels featuring an aluminum rim and side lace design, enhancing the versatility of the Scrambler 1200XE/XC as standard. Tubeless tires can now also be used.
The display features a multi-function TFT screen. Riders can customize the amount of information displayed according to their preferences, and even personalize it with their name. Control is managed via a 5-way joystick and other switches mounted on the handlebars. All are backlit for operation in the dark and offer access to phone calls, music control, and even GoPro operation.
Original Triumph TR6 model featured in the movie "The Great Escape"
Additionally, the "Steve McQueen Edition," featuring the legendary actor Steve McQueen who performed stunts on a Triumph TR6 in the movie "The Great Escape," will be sold in a limited run of 1,000 units worldwide.
Each unit will have an individual serial number, and Steve McQueen's brand logo will adorn the tank and handlebar clamp. The bike's unique character is expressed through a custom competition green paint job.

Pricing starts at ¥1,921,900 to ¥1,961,500 for the Scrambler 1200XC. The XE ranges from ¥2,056,400 to ¥2,096,000. The "Steve McQueen Edition" is priced at ¥2,196,400.
