Jaguar Land Rover Japan has set a limited run of 20 units for the "E-PACE PHEV Launch Edition," Jaguar's first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model, and has begun accepting orders.

A limited-edition PHEV model of the compact SUV "E-PACE," restricted to just 20 units, has arrived.

The powertrain combines a 1.5-liter inline 3-cylinder gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 147kW (200ps) with an electric rear axle drive delivering 80kW (109ps). The combined maximum output of the engine and motor is 227kW (309ps), with a maximum torque of 540Nm, achieving 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 216km/h.

The 15kWh lithium-ion battery, located under the floor, also supports 200V standard charging. The charging socket is positioned at the rear left of the body to maintain the car's design integrity.

Three driving modes can be selected to suit the scene: "EV Mode," "Hybrid Mode," and "Sustain Mode." In "EV Mode," the vehicle can travel up to 55km on electric power alone, enabling zero-emission driving.

The "Hybrid Mode" automatically switches between the engine and motor for optimal performance and efficient driving based on the situation. Even when the battery level is displayed as 0%, it is set to retain approximately 20% of its power to ensure all-wheel drive capability when needed.

The final mode, "Sustain Mode," primarily uses the engine as the power source, maintaining or charging the battery to 85%. When driving at 112km/h, it is said to reach 85% charge in approximately 90 minutes.

The exterior design features a Fire Blue body color and 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels to accentuate the E-PACE's sportiness. Inside, it is appointed with chic Windsor leather sports seats.

Additionally, a host of premium optional features enhance convenience, including the Premium Upgrade Interior Pack with a panoramic roof and air purification system, and the Technology Pack comprising wireless charging and a head-up display.

The "E-PACE PHEV Launch Edition" is limited to 20 units, priced at ¥9,334,000.
