Levorg Prototype World Premiere at Tokyo Motor Show 2019
SUBARU has announced its exhibition details for the "Tokyo Motor Show 2019," where it will globally unveil a prototype of the new Levorg.
EJ20 Final Edition to Appear as Culmination of WRX STI
At the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, SUBARU will exhibit under the concept, "There surely is a car that can make life better. ~believe.~" The press conference will be held on the first press day, October 23rd (Wednesday) from 2 PM and will also be streamed on YouTube.
The highlight this time is the world premiere of the second-generation "Levorg" prototype. In addition, as the culmination of the current "WRX STI" equipped with the EJ20 horizontally-opposed engine, production of which ends this year, a prototype of the "EJ20 Final Edition" will also be displayed.
The EJ20 horizontally-opposed engine was introduced in the first-generation Legacy in 1989 and subsequently powered Subaru's representative vehicles, including those for the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the Nürburgring 24-hour race. The "EJ20 Final Edition" on display is said to feature equipment befitting the finale of this engine, such as a balanced engine and gold-painted BBS 19-inch wheels.
Furthermore, the "VIZIV ADRENALINE CONCEPT," unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show, is also scheduled to be exhibited.
In addition, the "Impreza Sport," which received a significant minor change in October and is scheduled for release, and the "XV Advance," which has undergone partial improvements and is equipped with the "e-BOXER" hybrid system, are also expected to appear.
The Tokyo Motor Show will hold press days on September 23rd (Wednesday) and 24th (Thursday). It will be open to the public from October 25th (Friday) to November 4th (Monday, holiday).
