MBUX Interior Assistant with gesture control now standard

The "Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe," developed in-house by Mercedes-AMG, combines high performance with the convenience of four doors.
In the improved model, the AMG Ride Control+ air suspension with multi-chamber technology now comes standard with two additional pressure control valves on the outside of the dampers for the "GT 53" top model. For the "GT 43," these are available as an option. One controls rebound damping generated during wheel rebound, and the other controls compression damping generated during wheel compression.
This allows for independent control of the rebound and compression stages of the wheels, widening the difference between minimum and maximum damping forces. This flexibility in map design enhances comfort while also contributing to sporty driving dynamics.
Inside, the AMG Performance steering wheel with AMG Drive Control switches, allowing operation of various menus while focusing on driving, is standard. Additionally, the MBUX system, controllable by voice, now includes the "MBUX Interior Assistant" for gesture control, also as standard.
The "MBUX Interior Assistant" enhances convenience by, for example, displaying shortcuts for favorite functions on the media display with a V-sign gesture, or allowing users to turn reading lights on/off by moving their hand up and down below the rearview mirror, and activate a searchlight by reaching towards the passenger seat area.
There are no changes to the powertrain. It features a 3.0-liter inline-six turbo engine, coupled with an integrated starter-generator that also functions as an alternator, producing 16 kW (21 hp) and 250 Nm of torque.
The system as a whole produces 320 kW (435 hp) and 520 Nm of torque for the "GT 53," and 270 kW (367 hp) and 500 Nm for the "GT 43." Power is delivered through the "AMG 4MATIC+" all-wheel-drive system developed by Mercedes-AMG.
Two new body colors, Spectral Blue and Spectral Blue magno, have been added. The price is 17.86 million yen for the "GT 53" and 13.10 million yen for the "GT 43." Deliveries are scheduled to begin around February 2022.
