Lexus Unveils Electrified Sport in North America
At Monterey Car Week 2022, held in Pebble Beach, California from August 18-21, Lexus showcased its evolving brand and future, centered around models symbolizing its "Lexus Electrified" strategy. The display, themed "NEXT CHAPTER," featured powerful designs embodying the next generation of Lexus and refined "Lexus Driving Signature" driving dynamics.

0-60 mph in Under 2.2 Seconds, Over 430 Miles of Range
At the Pebble Beach Golf Links exhibition, Lexus presented the "Electrified Sport" to the North American market for the first time. This concept model, first revealed in Japan last December, is said to represent Lexus's future and serve as a vision for the successor to the LFA supercar.
The company indicated the potential use of solid-state batteries to maximize the possibilities of electrification for pushing the limits on both road and track. Its performance is projected to achieve 0-60 mph in under 2.2 seconds and offer a range exceeding 430 miles (approximately 692 km).
Lexus has been a familiar presence on this peninsula for 20 years as a partner of Pebble Beach Resorts and 24 years as a sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
During a cocktail reception on the afternoon of August 18 (local time), Kevin Hunter, President of CALTY Design Research, discussed the vision and design behind the development of future high-performance electric vehicles. Following this, on the afternoon of August 19, a discussion on the electrification and performance of the next-generation LEXUS took place at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, featuring Vinay Shahani, Vice President of Marketing for Lexus USA, and Lexus Brand Ambassador Townsend Bell.
The venue also featured the new "RX500h F SPORT Performance," making its debut, alongside the "RZ450e," Lexus's first dedicated BEV model.
