Jaguar Land Rover Japan has launched the AR (Augmented Reality) app "DEFENDER AR" on the App Store and Google Play, allowing users to experience the new Defender using tablets and smartphones.

The Defender, fully redesigned for the first time in 71 years, made its highly anticipated debut in April 2020. Its appeal also lies in its personalization options, allowing customers to choose from 170 types of accessories to match their preferences for equipment and design.

The newly released "DEFENDER AR" app requires no special hardware, enabling a wide range of users to enjoy configuring the new Defender in AR from the comfort of their homes. Users can explore exterior and interior options, as well as accessory packs, and after selecting specifications, can view the finished exterior and interior from all angles.

Furthermore, the app includes a sharing function that allows users to share images of their customized Defender via social media or email. It also features videos of the Defender navigating challenging terrains such as sand, grass, and snow.

As a companion for enjoying time at home, one can imagine embarking on an adventure with the Defender or creating their own unique Defender.
