Two Blacked-Out Limited Editions for the Triumph Rocket 3
Triumph Motorcycles Japan has begun accepting reservations for the limited edition "Rocket 3 R Black" and "Rocket 3 GT Triple Black," each with a worldwide production of 1,000 units, cloaked in black.
Equipped with the World's Largest 2.5-Liter Engine, Producing 167ps and 221Nm
Triumph has unveiled two limited models of the Rocket 3, unified entirely in black.
The "Rocket 3 R Black," a muscle roadster, boasts a unique matte & gloss all-black paint scheme for a dark and moody style. Meanwhile, the "Rocket 3 GT Triple Black" offers a sophisticated dark style through its distinctive three-shade black paint scheme, while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable riding posture.
Both models are powered by the 2500cc triple engine, the world's largest production motorcycle engine, delivering a maximum output of 167ps and peak torque of 221Nm. Notably, the maximum torque is available from 4000rpm and is maintained throughout the mid-range, allowing riders to feel the powerful torque firsthand.
The body utilizes a lightweight aluminum frame, and the rear is equipped with a Showa fully adjustable monoshock rear suspension unit featuring a piggyback reservoir. The Showa 47mm diameter cartridge-style upside-down front forks mounted at the front allow for adjustment of compression and rebound damping.
The brakes feature Brembo "Stylema radial monobloc calipers" in a road-legal specification, equipped with twin floating discs. Their lightweight and compact design optimizes airflow for efficient cooling. Additionally, Brembo four-piston monobloc calipers are fitted to the rear.
Safety features include standard cornering ABS and traction control. These are controlled by an inertial measurement unit that calculates the lean angle and measures the motorcycle's roll, pitch, and acceleration to optimize braking and traction control accordingly.
The TFT system comes with the accessory "my Triumph Connectivity System Software" pre-installed and can be activated via an accessory Bluetooth module. This enables GoPro connectivity, as well as control of phone and music functions through the switch cubes, with all information displayed and accessible on the TFT display.
Each model is limited to 1,000 units worldwide. In Japan, the "Rocket 3 R Black" is priced at 2,845,000 yen, and the "Rocket 3 GT Triple Black" is 2,915,000 yen.
