From Recreated Classics to the Latest Bacalar

Three models coachbuilt by Bentley Mulliner, Bentley's in-house bespoke and personal commissioning division, will be exhibited at Salon Privé, held at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, UK.
Mulliner is said to be the world's oldest coachbuilder, founded in the 1500s. Initially manufacturing horse-drawn carriages, it shifted its focus to automotive coachbuilding upon the advent of the automobile, and has been crafting Bentleys since the 1920s.
Making their global debut at Salon Privé are the 'Mulliner Classics,' announced last December as a limited production run of 12 units. These will recreate the iconic 4.5-liter supercharged engine model of the 1929 Team Blower, marking the world's first 'continuation' model of a pre-war race car.
Concurrently, this year's Classic Portfolio will also feature a restored model of the Bentley Team Car that Sir Tim Birkin raced, which served as the basis for the data and blueprints of the Continuation Series. The results of 12 months of work by a team of engineers and specialist craftspeople will be unveiled.

Also exhibited will be the 'Bacalar,' a two-seater open-top car that is a bespoke creation hand-built by Mulliner. Production is limited to just 12 units, all of which have already been sold, and these models, individually handcrafted to the owner's specifications, will be publicly displayed.
Additionally, two vehicles from the Heritage Collection will be presented: the 1930 8-Litre model, which was the company car owned by Bentley's founder W.O. Bentley himself, and the 1952 R Type Continental, which was the fastest four-seater sports car of its time and is said to have influenced the design of the current Continental GT.
