Streamlining the EV purchase process with transparent pricing

Volvo aims to become a fully electric car manufacturer by 2030 and has already revealed plans to expand its EV lineup in the coming years.
As part of this new commercial strategy, Volvo Cars is making significant investments in its online sales channel, aiming to greatly simplify the EV purchasing process. Sales will be conducted with transparent pricing, eliminating the need for negotiation.
Moving forward, the "Care by Volvo" subscription service, previously named as such, will be expanded into a broader customer service offering aimed at enhancing overall convenience. When purchasing a Volvo EV online, customers will receive a comprehensive care package that includes services, warranty, roadside assistance, and home charging options.
Dealerships will continue to play a crucial role in the customer experience, handling essential services such as vehicle preparation, delivery, and maintenance. The company aims to seamlessly integrate online and offline channels.
Volvo will implement this online sales model starting with the crossover EV model "C40," scheduled for introduction in Japan in the autumn of 2021. Concurrently, to further embody Volvo's "Freedom to Move" philosophy, the initial 100 units of the "C40" will be offered with a new subscription plan.
