Generating Clean Energy for Zero Factory CO2 Emissions in the Future
In line with its "Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050," Toyota strives for a society where people, cars, and nature coexist by reducing the environmental impact of vehicles to near zero and contributing to the planet and society. Through the clean electricity supplied by this new venture, Toyota aims to contribute to the realization of a low-carbon society by achieving zero CO2 emissions from its factories in the future.
Chubu Electric Power, committed to deepening its ESG management and contributing to SDG solutions, is also working to expand the use of renewable energy. By supporting the Toyota Group's pursuit of a low-carbon society, the company aims to enhance Japan's energy self-sufficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
Toyota Tsusho has been involved in renewable energy projects for over 30 years, focusing on wind and solar power, from development to operation. Leveraging its accumulated expertise in business operations, the company will contribute to the transition to a low-carbon society.
Through the operation of Toyota Green Energy, the three companies will collaborate to ensure sustainability by reducing costs for independent renewable energy power sources and extending the lifespan and optimizing replacements of facilities.
