Aston Martin Launches Limited Edition to Commemorate the Release of "007"

On August 17, Aston Martin announced the creation of two special 007 Special Editions inspired by the film, to commemorate the release of "No Time to Die," the 25th installment in the "007" film series. The collaboration with EON Productions, producers of the "007" film series at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, has resulted in the "Vantage" and "DBS Superleggera" being selected as the 007 editions. Sales will begin on the same day with a limited number of units.

Four iconic Aston Martin sports cars will feature in the film "007 / No Time to Die," scheduled for global release in November 2020: the classic Aston Martin V8, the modern Bond car super GT, the DBS Superleggera, and the soon-to-be-released mid-engine hypercar, the Aston Martin Valhalla.
The "Q by Aston Martin" personalization service division is responsible for producing these two special editions to commemorate the film's release. The first of the two models produced is the Vantage 007 Edition, inspired by the Aston Martin V8 that debuted in the 1987 film "The Living Daylights" and also appears in the latest film, "No Time to Die." In the new film, viewers can witness a memorable scene where James Bond uncovers the Aston Martin V8, which was stored in his private London garage.
Built upon the Vantage's sporty style and aggressive performance, the 007 Edition's exterior is enhanced with a dedicated mesh grille with chrome bezels, a signature feature of the Aston Martin V8. Additionally, details include a yellow dashed diffuser, inspired by the rocket-firing hazard stripes of the V8 in the film. The Vantage 007 Edition also offers the option to order a limited-edition ski and ski rack set, inspired by the "snow-driving" ski outriggers fitted to the V8 in "The Living Daylights."
The body color is Cumberland Grey, with an Obsidian Black leather interior and Dark Chrome trim. The center console, equipped with a manual transmission, features the 007 logo. As an example of the attention to detail, the sun visor in this limited edition is embroidered with the radio station frequency "96.60 (FM)." Die-hard fans of the "007" film series will recall that this frequency was used by Russian police and that he utilized it to escape in "The Living Daylights."

The Vantage 007 Edition is Limited to 100 Units Worldwide

The seats feature traditional vertical stitching patterns reminiscent of the V8 seen in the film, while the seatbacks are made of carbon fiber. The design is inspired by the cello's "f-holes," which played a memorable role in the chase scene between James Bond (Timothy Dalton) and Kara Milandrovic (Maryam d'Abo) in "The Living Daylights."
The center console is equipped with a gadget plate, laser-etched to resemble the switches used to operate the various weapons and devices featured in the Bond car. These switches include rocket motors, missiles, lasers, a target display, and ski outriggers. The crosshairs etched onto the shift lever allude to the missile guidance system seen in the film.

The Vantage 007 Edition is limited to a worldwide production of 100 units. A manual or automatic transmission can be selected, and the side strakes are adorned with the Vantage emblem.
Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, commented, "The creation of the 007 Editions is always an incredibly exciting challenge for us, as it allows us to bring legendary Bond cars into the modern era. We are incredibly honored to unveil these sports cars that incorporate the styling details of the Bond cars featured in the "007" film series. These limited editions offer our customers a unique opportunity to own a truly special vehicle with a significant place in both film and automotive history."

The Superleggera 007 Edition: Limited to Just 25 Units

Additionally, another unique 007 Edition has been created to commemorate the appearance of the DBS Superleggera, the pinnacle of the Aston Martin lineup, in the "007" film series. Limited to just 25 units worldwide, this car shares the same specifications as the DBS Superleggera featured in the latest film and is characterized by its commanding presence.
The 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine in the DBS Superleggera produces a maximum output of 715 hp and a peak torque of 900 Nm. This peak torque is the highest figure ever achieved by a production car manufactured by Aston Martin.
In addition to this powerful engine, the body color is a special Ceramic Grey, with black carbon fiber used for the roof, mirror caps, splitter, diffuser, and rear aero blade II. It also features exclusive diamond-turned gloss black 21-inch Y-spoke wheels and black enamel 007 fender badges with chrome finishing. Furthermore, the rear spoiler blade is adorned with a stainless steel silver 007 foil accent.
Inside, the cockpit is unified in dark tones, with a luxurious leather interior featuring red stitching that accentuates the contours of the seats. Additionally, the 007 logo is applied to the door cards, armrest buckle badges, and rear subwoofer covers. The door sill plates are engraved to signify that this car is one of the limited 25 Superleggera 007 Editions.
