Equipped with Two Electric Motors, Offering a Range of Over 700km

The A6 e-tron concept is a concept model based on "Premium Platform Electric (PPE)," Audi's new technology platform for future electric vehicles. PPE is scheduled to be adopted in the large segment in late 2022, and subsequently in the mid-size segment, serving as a base not only for high-riding electric SUVs but also for dynamic styles like the A6 model presented here.
The A6 e-tron concept measures 4,960mm long, 1,960mm wide, and 1,440mm high, nearly the same dimensions as the current A6/A7 series. Its fastback body, designed for minimal air resistance with a Cd value of 0.22, aims to express both the practicality of a primary car and driving performance.
The exterior is characterized by large 22-inch wheels, short overhangs, a flat cabin, and a coupe-like roofline. The front features a large, closed Singleframe grille with air intakes on both sides to cool the drivetrain, battery, and brakes, emphasizing its electric nature.
The body color is "Helios Silver," which imparts a technical and functional beauty. The paint reflects a significant portion of sunlight, reducing the amount of energy entering the cabin, thereby decreasing air conditioning use, extending range, and lowering the carbon footprint.
PPE platform vehicles feature a battery with a capacity of approximately 100 kWh located between the front and rear axles. The A6 e-tron concept utilizes a quattro drive system with two electric motors generating a combined output of 350 kW and 800 Nm of torque. However, the e-tron family will also offer base versions with a single rear motor.
Furthermore, the A6 e-tron concept employs 800-volt charging technology. Utilizing rapid charging stations, it can achieve over 300 km of range with just 10 minutes of charging at a maximum output of 270 kW, and can charge from 5% to 80% capacity in 25 minutes. With a range exceeding 700 km, its performance rivals that of internal combustion engine vehicles in terms of usability, suitable for everything from short commutes to long drives as a primary car.
Performance figures are announced as under 7 seconds for 0-100 km/h acceleration for the entry-level model, and under 4 seconds for the top-tier model.
