4.4-Liter V8 Twin-Turbo Produces 625 PS

The X5, which BMW calls a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), and the X6, a coupe-style (SAC).
The X5 M and X6 M, developed by BMW M with circuit driving in mind, now have M Competition models designed for even more aggressive sporty driving.
The powertrain is a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo gasoline engine, also found in the M8.
Thanks to tuning by BMW M and the integration of the latest technology, it produces a maximum output of 441kW (625ps) and a maximum torque of 750Nm. Through an 8-speed transmission and the intelligent M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, it achieves 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds, despite a total weight of approximately 2,700kg.
In terms of design, based on the X5 and X6 that underwent a full model change in March 2019, M Competition models feature exclusive designs.
In addition to the black kidney grille with double bars, symbolic of M models, it is also equipped with M-specific mirrors and side gills for improved aerodynamics.
Furthermore, an M Sport exhaust system is available, delivering the stimulating sound characteristic of M models.
The interior also features M multi-function seats, an M-specific steering wheel, and shift lever, suitable for a circuit model. It also incorporates the latest BMW Live Cockpit with a digital panel and a head-up display showing M-specific content.
For safety, it features a traffic jam assist function with hands-off capability, the first of its kind introduced by BMW in an officially approved domestic model. This reduces driver load during traffic congestion on highways.
In addition, advanced driver assistance systems such as Active Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, and Lane Departure Warning System are standard.
The price is 18.59 million yen for the X5 M Competition and 18.99 million yen for the X6 M Competition. Deliveries for both will begin from April onwards.
