The Material: Rare杢Wood Used in Grand Tourers

A special surfboard has been created using rare杢wood, also found in the interiors of Bentley's grand tourers.
This project is the result of a collaboration between Bentley, luxury retreat experience provider Marnierais, and Otter Surfboards.
The surfboards were handcrafted in the woodworking shop at Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, England. The wood was carefully selected as a tribute to traditional Hawaiian wooden surfboards and sourced sustainably, as Bentley has done since its founding.
Bentley's skilled craftspeople employed traditional techniques, unused since the production of the Mulsanne, to meticulously shape the rare wood. This material was then sent to the workshop of James Otter, founder of Otter Surfboards, who carefully carved it into a unique, one-of-a-kind surfboard.
The finished surfboards are etched with the logos of the three companies, signifying the collaborative effort of various professionals.
These surfboards will be donated by the three companies to Surfability UK, a British social enterprise that provides adaptive surfing for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or learning difficulties. The donated surfboards will be auctioned for charity, with proceeds supporting their activities.
This surfboard, born from Bentley's traditional techniques and materials, embodies a deep respect for surfing. The story of artisans' sensibilities resonating is one we'd love to explore further in the video.
