On Saturday, January 4 (local time), Lamborghini announced the Huracán EVO RWD, a rear-wheel-drive model of the Huracán EVO.

Front and Rear Designs Differ from AWD Model

The Huracán EVO, previously only available as an AWD model, now welcomes the rear-wheel-drive Huracán EVO RWD, designed for pure driving pleasure.

The engine is the same 5.2-liter V10 found in the AWD model. Traction control has been specially tuned for the RWD model. It delivers a maximum output of 449kW (610hp) and peak torque of 560Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, achieving a top speed of 325km/h and 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds.

The chassis is constructed from lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber, with a body composed of aluminum and thermoplastic resin. It weighs 1,389kg, boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 2.28kg/hp, and achieves a front-to-rear weight distribution of 40:60.

The suspension utilizes double wishbones forming a parallelogram, equipped with passive shock absorbers, while the brakes feature cross-drilled ventilated discs.

While the design inherits the cues from the AWD model, the front and rear have been significantly revised. The enlarged front air intakes feature a new front splitter and vertical fins, and the gloss black rear bumper is fitted with a new diffuser exclusive to the RWD.

The cockpit's center console houses an 8.4-inch HMI touchscreen, controlling all vehicle functions and offering Apple CarPlay compatibility. Additionally, the extensive options from Lamborghini's Ad Personam program allow for complete customization of colors and trims.

The price is set at ¥26,539,635, with deliveries expected to begin in spring 2020.
