Giorgio Armani Unveils a One-of-a-Kind Custom-Made Electric Vehicle

Born from a Charity Project Supporting Earth Alliance

The Fiat 500 Armani was created as part of a charity project to support "Earth Alliance," an environmental organization founded by American actor Leonardo DiCaprio that addresses global climate change and the resulting loss of biodiversity. The car is slated for auction, though the timing and details are yet to be determined.
The base Fiat 500, measuring less than four meters in length, boasts a 42kWh lithium-ion battery offering a range of 320 km (WLTP cycle). Its 87kW electric motor propels it from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds, with a top speed of 150 km/h.
The custom Fiat 500 Armani's exterior features a silk-like metallic body in a grey-green hue, achieved through partial leather etching to create a fabric-like texture. It is also equipped with innovative air purification and antibacterial technologies.
The roof is a fabric convertible top personalized with the "GA" logo. The "GA" logo adorns the wheel hubs and the top, while Giorgio Armani's signature is subtly integrated along the window frames at the front, rear, and sides.
The interior is upholstered in natural leather and wool fabric, featuring leather seats designed with a chevron pattern favored by Mr. Armani, and inserts made from recycled wood processed with aluminum.
The unveiling took place in front of Milan's Duomo cathedral, reportedly sending a message of positivity to the city during its most challenging period. Notably, Armani has also contributed €1.25 million (approximately ¥147.5 million) to Italian hospitals and organizations involved in combating the coronavirus pandemic.
Other custom versions of the 500 include those by Bulgari and Kartell, celebrated as ideal urban vehicles designed with style, creativity, and craftsmanship, all grounded in sustainability (nature, reuse, and recycling).
