Sporty Fiat 500X Arrives for an Enjoyable Drive
FCA Japan announced that it will add a new grade, the "500X Sport," to the compact SUV "Fiat 500X," featuring a sporty design and driving experience. Sales will begin on August 22nd.
Sporty Exterior and Interior, Dedicated Suspension Adopted
Since its introduction to Japan in October 2015 as Fiat's first small SUV, the 500X has garnered wide support from users with active lifestyles to families, thanks to its approachable design that follows the lineage of the 500 series, a spacious interior where adults can relax, and comprehensive safety features. Added to this highly practical 5-door model is the 500X Sport, which features a sporty exterior and interior, along with dedicated suspension.
The exterior creates a stable form with a sporty front bumper featuring a large lower intake, body-colored side skirts, and a sporty rear bumper. Furthermore, dark gray accent colors are used throughout, and 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels and body-colored wheel arch moldings emphasize a low center of gravity. Body colors include the dedicated Seduction Red, as well as Italian Blue, Gelato White, and Fashion Gray, for a total of four options.
The suspension system utilizes dedicated springs and shock absorbers with a unique tuning. The steering has also been specially tuned to enhance responsiveness.
Inside, it is equipped with an Alcantara and leather steering wheel inspired by racing models, and Alcantara is also used for the meter hood. The color scheme is based on black, with dark accent colors used in various places.
Additionally, the seats are made of high-quality black leather, and the seat height is set 13mm lower than the 500X Cross, enhancing the sporty driving feel.
While retaining the high practicality and safety of the 500X, the 500X Sport, with its enhanced sportiness, is the perfect vehicle for drivers who want to actively enjoy driving. The price is 3,440,000 yen (including tax). The existing "500X" and "500X Cross" will also continue to be sold.
