Renault Japon is cooperating with "Macaron Day," an annual event held by Pierre Hermé Paris to raise funds for children battling serious illnesses. The "Renault Special Package" will be available for a limited run of 50 sets starting May 29th. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to "Macaron Day."

"Macaron Day" was initiated 15 years ago in France by Pierre Hermé to raise donations for children fighting serious illnesses. In recent years, "Macaron Day" charity events have been held annually in Japan, centered around the summer solstice. Renault Japon has also participated in this charity effort each May at the Kangoo Jamboree event.

This year, in response to the impact of the novel coronavirus, the "Renault Special Package" has been introduced in conjunction with the online event "Kangoo Jamboree ONLINE 2020." Available in a limited edition of 50 sets, it contributes to the charity by donating a portion of its sales.

The macarons in the "Renault Special Package" feature two designs: an illustration of the Kangoo and the Renault logo, presented in an assortment of six popular flavors.

Sales are exclusively through the Pierre Hermé Paris online store. In addition to the "Renault Special Package," limited-edition Macaron Day gifts will be available, and donation boxes will be set up from Wednesday, May 27th to Tuesday, June 30th. Net proceeds and donations, after deducting expenses, will be contributed to the Certified NPO, National Network for Children with Serious Illnesses.
